BERBER RUGSBERBER RUGS
BerberRugs Craftsmanship

From thread to rug, every gesture matters.

This page presents the work behind every BerberRugs piece: prepared wool, the loom, traditional tools, and the finishing touches that give each rug its presence.

The goal is not only to show a beautiful result, but to make visible the steps that give value to a handmade piece.

Weaving workshop

The stretched threads, wool, and tools tell the story of the rug before it is even finished.

The essential steps

Know-how appears through a sequence of simple gestures, repeated with precision. These steps explain why every rug has its own texture and rhythm.

Preparing the material

The wool is selected, cleaned, and worked to obtain a soft, durable fiber with a pleasant touch.

Setting up the loom

The warp threads are stretched with care. This base gives the rug its hold, proportions, and rhythm.

Weaving and finishing

The pattern is built row after row, then the piece is checked, brushed, and finished by hand.

Ancestral know-how

The tools that shape the wool.

Before the finished rug, there are precise gestures and simple tools: carding, spinning, stretching, knotting. This step makes the craft visible and gives meaning to every piece.
